Our Wooden Sliding Gates are made from Scandinavian Redwood. This softwood is very sustainable and aesthetically pleasing timber which takes stain very well. It will need to be treated with a preservative and UV protection finish for the best protection against the elements.
These gates are suitable for automated sliders or manual sliders. The full bottom rail allows for the installation of wheels to use with a track for sliding use.

Bracing: 95mm wide x 45mm thick
Bottom rail: 95mm wide x 70mm thick (with rebate to allow for the T&G boards)
T&B boards: 85mm wide x 15mm thick
The gates will come in three parts with pre-drilled holes and threaded bar to allow them to be bolted together.

How To Measure
Single gate:
- Take the smallest measurement.
- Take off the thickness of the posts (our wall posts are 45mm each)
- Take off 30mm (15mm either side) for expansion and movement.
- This is the width of the gate required.
Example of a gate with 2x matching wall posts:
Gap size: 970mm
Take off 90mm for the posts: 880mm
Take off 30mm for movement and expansion: 850mm
Gate width required: 850mm
Single gate height:
- Order the height of the gate you require from the bottom of the gate to the top of the horns at the side of the gate.
- We recommend leaving a 30mm gap below the gate when installing.
Double Gates
- Take the smallest measurement.
- Take off the thickness of the posts (our wall posts are 70mm each)
- Take off 45mm (15mm gaps for either side and in the centre) for expansion and movement.
- This is the width of the gate required.
Example of a gate with 2x matching wall posts:
Gap size: 3535mm
Take off 140mm for the posts: 3395mm
Take off 45mm for movement and expansion: 3350mm
Gates width required: 3350mm (gates tight together)
Double gates height:
- Order the height of the gate you require from the bottom of the gate to the top of the horns at the side of the gate.
- We recommend leaving a 30mm gap below the gate when installing.
