Iroko Hardwood
Iroko is a very beautiful and highly durable African hardwood often used in the boat building industry. It varies in colour from light brown oak to dark brown with irregular shading. We recommend using oil with UV protection such as Treatex or OSMO on this hardwood and recommend re-coating when necessary. If left untreated, it will turn a silver grey over time.

For our softwood gates, we use premium grade Scandinavian redwood. This is a very sustainable light coloured timber that has a lot of character. It will need regular treatment to prolong the life of your gates. It has tight knots and takes treatment and stain well.
Our Scandinavian Redwood is slow grown premium grade. It is sorted so only the highest grade of timber is selected for our gates.
