Introducing our Cheshire Design Hardwood Sliding Gates, crafted from premium Iroko hardwood. Known for its exceptional durability and longevity, Iroko is the ideal timber choice for your sliding gates. The open top with wooden spindles adds character, perfect for that more traditional look.
These gates are available to use for both manual and automated opening. The full bottom rail is designed to accommodate wheels for smooth sliding on a track.
An 800mm wide overhang gate is included to facilitate connection to a sliding motor and track. Note that this overhang is not part of the gate's specified width.

- Framework: 70mm wide x 70mm thick
- Horizontal Bracing: 120mm wide x 45mm thick
- Diagonal Bracing: 95mm x 45mm thick
- Bottom Rail: 120mm wide x 70mm thick (with rebate for T&G boards)
- T&G Boards: 85mm wide x 15mm thick
The gates will come in separate pieces, with pre-drilled holes and threaded bar for easy assembly.

Size guide
Single gate:
- Take the smallest measurement.
- Take off the thickness of the posts (our wall posts are 45mm each)
- Take off 30mm (15mm either side) for expansion and movement.
- This is the width of the gate required.
Example of a gate with 2x matching wall posts:
Gap size: 970mm
Take off 90mm for the posts: 880mm
Take off 30mm for movement and expansion: 850mm
Gate width required: 850mm
Single gate height:
- Order the height of the gate you require from the bottom of the gate to the top of the horns at the side of the gate.
- We recommend leaving a 30mm gap below the gate when installing.
Double Gates
- Take the smallest measurement.
- Take off the thickness of the posts (our wall posts are 70mm each)
- Take off 45mm (15mm gaps for either side and in the centre) for expansion and movement.
- This is the width of the gate required.
Example of a gate with 2x matching wall posts:
Gap size: 3535mm
Take off 140mm for the posts: 3395mm
Take off 45mm for movement and expansion: 3350mm
Gates width required: 3350mm (gates tight together)
Double gates height:
- Order the height of the gate you require from the bottom of the gate to the top of the horns at the side of the gate.
- We recommend leaving a 30mm gap below the gate when installing.
